Who killed Goliath?

I was listening to a sermon this morning about the King James Bible. As I have said before, I am just NOW beginning to understand the importance of the King James Bible as the one and only true Bible, the Words of God. The preacher pointed out a LIE that is found in almost all other versions other than the Authrized King James Version.

So I will ask this question: Who killed Goliath?
You will say, "That's easy. It was David" And you would be correct! But, what does your Bible say? Look in 2 Samuel 21:19.

From the NIV :

19 In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jaare-Oregim [a] the Bethlehemite killed
Goliath [b] the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's
rod.

From the NASB:

19There was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, (A)the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver's
beam.

From the Holman Christian Standard Bible:

19 Once again there was a battle with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed [a] Goliath the Gittite. The shaft of his
spear was like a weaver's beam.

From the ESV:

19And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and(A) Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, the Bethlehemite, struck down Goliath the Gittite,(B) the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s
beam.

Do you see something wrong here? It was David that killed Goliath, not Elhanan. You can read about how David slew the giant in 1Samuel 17:49-51, in your KJV Bible, of course ;)

Who does the King James Bible say Elhanan killed in 2 Samuel 21:19? The brother of Goliath.

19And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the
son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the
staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.

And along the lines of this, the word of God cannot contradict itself, so if all of these other versions, which claim to be the Holy Bible, are indeed the word of God, then they should not contradict themselves, right?

Lets look in the NIV at the accounts of David and Goliath. 1Samuel 17:48-51

48 As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the
battle line to meet him. 49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he
slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his
forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
50 So David triumphed
over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he
struck down the Philistine and killed him.
51 David ran and stood over
him. He took hold of the Philistine's sword and drew it from the scabbard. After
he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword.
When the Philistines saw that their hero was
dead, they turned and ran.

But, in 2 Samuel, the NIV said that it was Elhanan that killed Goliath. Hmm. A big time contradiction. God does not contradict Himself, neither do His Words. By its own work, the NIV CANNOT be the word of God. Period.

More reason that the KJV is the Words of God!
